Hey guys! I have a PSA announcement!!! If you haven’t finished making your Christmas cookies and you want to try something new, I am over the moon for this tasty and fun recipe! For all those of us who are avoiding gluten, I even switched out the flour to Bob’s Red Mill Almond Flour ( Click Here) for half the cookies and it worked so well! Not to mention it tasted even fantastic! YAY!
I found this recipe when I picked up a copy of Better Homes & Garden Magazine because Erin from Cotton Stem Blog had her stunning home all decked out for Christmas and was being featured in the magazine!!!! YAY GIRL!!! It really was incredible and if you haven’t picked up a copy…you’re missing out friend! I really love the entire edition was fabulous!
In this edition, they had a recipe for sugar cookies that you paint with a paintbrush almost like watercolors! I was totally inspired to try a new spin on the traditional sugar cookies we always make! Growing up we always made loads of sugar cookies as a family! It was so much fun, it took hours and left the kitchen a total disaster…but the memories were worth it! I wanted to bring that tradition back now that we live in our hometown near family. I was able to host an evening with my daughter and her friends as well as many of my sisters! We listened to Chrismas music and sang along late into the evening all while painting these cookies one by one! I have to say, I really didn’t think we’d actually finish decorating them all! But once we got started we didn’t want to stop! It really was so relaxing and so much fun to bring back our old tradition in a whole new way! Thanks for following along on my little Christmas Cookie DIY night! I hope this inspires you to bring back your family traditions…even if you do put your own new spin on it!!!
I抳e read some good stuff here. Certainly worth bookmarking for revisiting. I surprise how much effort you put to create such a magnificent informative web site.
